Accelerated J.D. Program
Students at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law who wish to expedite their education may participate in our Accelerated J.D. program, which allows individuals to earn their J.D. in 24 months.
Accelerated J.D. students begin their program in August alongside traditional three-year students. Their courses include the same first-year courses taken by three-year J.D. students, and they will be ranked in their entering class along with traditional students. Accelerated J.D. students will also maintain their eligibility for the same honors and awards given to three-year students. Students in the program will work closely with the administrative staff of the College of Law to plan their curriculum.
Accelerated J.D. students will complete the same number of credit hours as traditional three-year J.D. students, but will do so over four semesters and two summers. Students in the accelerated program will have the opportunity to select from the same broad range of electives as those offered to traditional three-year students, and qualified students in the Accelerated J.D. program may also participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities, such as journals and Moot Court.
