M.L.S. and Master of Accountancy (MACC)

Master of Legal Studies Requirements: M.L.S. students must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours plus 6 shared MACC credit hours, totaling 30 credits. During the first semester, students will take only business classes. During the spring semester, students will take primarily business classes plus two law classes (U.S. Law and Legal Analysis and Fundamentals of Contract Law, totaling 6 credits). They will take one law course during the summer, and the final semester will comprise only law courses.

  • US Law and Legal Anaylsis, 3 credits
  • Fundamentals of Contract Law, 3 credits
  • Legal Principles of Business Organizations, 3 credits
  • Human Resources Law, 3 credits
  • Administrative Agencies and Regulations, 3 credits
  • Managing Disputes: Litigation Strategies and Alternative Dispute Resolution, 3 credits
  • Tax Theory and Principles, 3 credits
  • Integrating Legal Principles & Business Practice, 3 credits
  

Master of Accountancy Requirements: MACC students must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours plus 6 shared M.L.S. credit hours, totaling 30 credits. The first semester of the MACC (fall A and B) consists of only business classes. Spring semester (spring A and B) will be primarily business with two law classes (6 credits), after which the remaining courses will be law.
