The Dean’s Council is vital to the success of the College of Law. Its members are foundational partners in the philanthropic enterprise that provides the margin of excellence on our campus. The innovative program that permits our students to spend a semester in Washington D.C. working in public interest and governmental externships and taking classes taught by our faculty depends upon private contributions. The keynote speaker who turns a dry conference into an exciting event might stay home were we unable to fund the trip. Students who traverse the country to seek clerkships or attend moot court competitions or other important conferences would be unable to do so without donor support. Our post-graduate public interest fellowship program requires funding each year.
In short, the wide array of extracurricular activities that transforms the College of Law from a set of classrooms into a vibrant community of budding professionals is only possible because of the generosity of our donors. Your contribution will also help us attract and retain the talented faculty who will lead the College of Law as it becomes an exemplar of 21st century public legal education.
