Event Description: The Diversity Legal Writing Program is a collaborative program between the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA), the State Bar of Arizona, and Phoenix law firms. The intent is to broaden learning opportunities for law students who self-identify as members of minority groups that are under-represented in the legal profession. Through this program students strengthen legal research and writing skills, gain exposure to private firm environments, and develop relationships with attorneys in the Phoenix legal community. Event Description: Pro bono ethics training is required for students who want to participate in pro bono service and who are not currently enrolled in, or have not completed, Professional Responsibility. This short and interesting training with Professor Larry Cohen will utilize video clips from popular lawyer movies to teach students about their ethical responsibilities.
