Bar Exam Loans are special loans designed by private lenders specifically for third-year law students who plan to sit for the bar exam shortly after graduation and are looking for assistance in paying for exam-related expenses.

Bar Exam Loans are different than the loans law students receive to pay for law school. A law student or recent graduate does not have to have room under his or her Cost of Attendance to receive a Bar Exam Loan. When a student applies for a Bar Exam Loan, his or her Cost of Attendance is not an issue.

The College of Law has a history of working with Access Group, a well-respected company with great track records of working with law students. Contact them directly, either on the web or by phone to learn more about their bar exam loan programs. Students who have completed an application with one of the following private lenders will need the application certified by Tammy Vavra, Assistant Registrar, Room 101B, Armstrong Hall.
