Write-On Competition

Seventeen students are invited to join Journal based on their Write-On Competition score.  The Write-On Competition is held immediately following the end of the Spring semester. 

The breakdown for the write-on competition score is 45% GPA, 25% written problem, 25% Bluebook quiz, and 5% legal writing grades.

 Requirements to Participate

Law Journal Open House will be during lunch on Thursday, April 5th, 2012 in the Journal Office in the basement of the law library.

Anyone who wants to apply to Law Journal, Jurimetrics, or the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal must attend the mandatory meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 starting at noon in room 116. Lunch will be provided by Westlaw. If you are unable to make the April 3rd mandatory meeting, there is an alternative mandatory meeting on Monday, April 2nd, in the Great Hall. Lunch will not be provided on this day, and it is recommended you attend the April 3rd meeting if possible.

2012 Write-On Competition Dates
Competition Start:        Thursday, May 3, 8:00 AM.
Turn in Packets by:      Friday, May 4, 5:00 PM.

Necessary Documents

Grade Release
To participate in the 2012 Write-On Competition, candidates must sign and deliver the grade release form, in person, or deliver it to their folders in the student locker room. The form will be handed out at the mandatory meeting.
