Brazil, the world's largest ethanol exporter, may soon challenge the United States at the World Trade Organization over its tariffs on imports of the fuel, Foreign Minister Celso Amorim said on Tuesday.

UPDATE 1-Monsanto settles patent dispute with U.S. co-op

U.S. agricultural chemical and crop technology giant Monsanto Co. said on Tuesday it had settled a patent infringement dispute involving its "Roundup Ready" seed technology. The dispute was one of many involving Monsanto and use of seeds that have been genetically modified to resist Monsanto's popular Roundup Ready herbicide.

Biotech group not endorsing for prez, but seeks more in FDA budget

The Biotechnology Industry Organization’s members will call on the next president to significantly increase the federal Food and Drug Administration’s budget, in order to speed up the review process for cutting-edge medicines now waiting in the pipeline for approval. However, BIO is not endorsing either candidate.
