Moot Court provides an opportunity for law students to develop the oral and written advocacy skills learned in the classroom and put them to the test in a "simulated" trial or advocacy environment.  Judges and jurors for the competitions are often practitioners and sitting judges.  In addition, our law students frequently work with junior high and high school students in their mock trial/moot court activities.

Moot Court is an excellent way to develop your advocacy skills, have fun, and network with local attorneys. Plus, in their third year, law students can apply to be in the Order of Barristers, a national advocacy honor society.

Here are just a few of the many Moot Court opportunities available:

• Compete in one of our intraschool (internal) Moot Court competitions with prizes
• Join a team and travel nationally or internationally to participate in one of hundreds of external competitions
• Coach high school students in an after-school mock trial/moot court program
• Volunteer as a timer for our internal competitions
• Role play as a client volunteer for our Client Counseling competition
