‘Islamic State’ debate rescheduled
04/09/2012
The Muslim Law Students' Association of The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law announces the rescheduling of a debate set for Tuesday, April 10, between Dr. Zuhdi Jasser and Imam Ahmad Shqeirat.
The debate, "Is the Islamic State a Threat to Democracy?," has generated interest that promises attendance that will exceed the capacity of the classroom scheduled at the College of Law.
In order to accommodate everyone who is interested, the event will be rescheduled in the fall at a time and place to be announced.
The Muslim Law Students Association is excited about the interest expressed by those planning to attend, and apologies for any inconvenience the date change will cause.
It also wishes to thank the speakers for their willingness to reschedule in order to accommodate the great public interest, and the law school for their help and support. The Association will announce the date and place for the rescheduled debate as soon as the arrangements have been finalized.
