New policy on young undocumented immigrants explained by Cruz in ‘Arizona Republic’

A new policy of the Obama administration allowing some young undocumented immigrants to stay in the United States without fear of deportation will enable them apply for work permits, obtain driver’s licenses and not be subjected to Arizona’s immigration-enforcement law, according to Professor Evelyn Cruz.

Justice Hurwitz confirmed by Senate for federal appeals court seat

Arizona Supreme Court Vice Chief Justice Andrew Hurwitz, an adjunct professor at the College of Law since 1977, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to a seat on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The confirmation came on a voice vote on Tuesday, June 12.
