Ira Ellman
Professor Ira Ellman recently published the third edition of Health Care Law and Ethics in a Nutshell with Mark Hall, the Fred D. & Elizabeth L. Turnage Professor of Law at Wake Forrest University School of Law, and David Orentlicher, the Samuel K. Rosen Professor of Law at Indiana University, who joined Hall and Ellman for this edition.

The book, released by West Publishing, is dedicated to former College of Law Professor Dan Strouse, who was an author with Hall and Ellman on the second edition. Professor Strouse passed away in August 2007. The first edition was published in 1999.

Ellman’s current scholarly projects include an empirical investigation into how people make judgments about appropriate legal rules. He was a founding member of the Bioethics Committee of Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix.
