Tsosie contributes to book written by Vine Deloria Jr., Wilkins

Professor Rebecca Tsosie
recently wrote the forward for the book “The Legal Universe: Observations on the Foundations of American Law,” written by David E. Wilkins, Professor of American Indian Studies at the University of Minnesota, and the late Vine Deloria Jr., a Professor at the University of Arizona’s James E. Rodgers College of Law.
Deloria was named by TIME magazine as one of the chief “shapers and movers” of Christian faith in 1974 after the release of his book God Is Red: A Native View of Religion.
Tsosie teaches in the areas of Indian law, Property, Bioethics, and Critical Race Theory, as well as seminars in International Indigenous Rights and in the College’s Tribal Policy, Law, and Government Master of Laws program. She has written and published widely on doctrinal and theoretical issues related to tribal sovereignty, environmental policy and cultural rights, and is the author of many prominent articles dealing with cultural resources and cultural pluralism.
