Professor Emeritus Gary Lowenthal recently won a case before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to throw out the death sentence of a man who was convicted in a 1981 murder, sending the case back to state court for resentencing.

Art Hinshaw, Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Lodestar Dispute Resolution Program at the College of Law, has been appointed to the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution’s Standing Committee on Mediator Ethical Guidance. The committee is made up of ADR practitioners, academics and leading ADR ethics experts from the public and private sectors.
