Buel speaks at Bar Association meeting

Sarah Buel
Sarah M. Buel, clinical professor of law and founding director of the Diane Halle Center for Family Justice, participated in a panel at the annual American Bar Association Meeting in Chicago on Sunday, Aug. 5.
The panel discussed witness tampering, cyber-stalking and first amendment challenges.
Buel also participated in a presentation by the Commission on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault titled, “The Correlation Between Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence.”
A survivor of domestic violence herself, Buel has worked for more than 30 years with battered women and children. She graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she founded the Harvard Battered Women’s Advocacy Project, the Harvard Women in Prison Project, and the Harvard Children and Family Rights Project.
Recently, she was re-appointed as co-chair of the Women in the Criminal Justice System Committee, which she co-founded in 2006.
