Bodansky quoted in ‘Innovation News Daily’
08/22/2012
Dan Bodansky
, ASU Lincoln Professor of Law, Ethics, and Sustainability, was quoted recently in an article
Daniel Bodansky
in
Innovation News Daily
, titled “Rules Lacking for Geoengineering Projects for Global Warming.”
The article, by staff writer Francie Diep, explored the idea of who would govern geoengineering projects designed to combat global warming.
“For now, at least, there aren't any international laws that apply to geoengineering projects generally,” Diep wrote.
“There would really be no place to go to actually challenge” a geoengineering project, Bodansky told Diep.
“The way laws are currently structured, challengers to geoengineering projects would probably turn to the national laws of the hosting country,” according to
Innovation News Daily
.
“It would depend, I think, really primarily on national law,” Bodansky said.
