The Advanced Writing Clerkship is an opportunity to work closely with Maricopa County Superior Court Civil Judges for 3 credits (180 hours.) The clerkship is only open to third year law students each semester. Selected clerks review assigned dispositive motions and/or complex substantive motions; brief facts/issues in a preliminary memorandum as directed by assigned judge; attend oral arguments; discuss oral argument with judge; and write final order or memorandum. Deadline to apply on Symplicity for Spring – 2012 is Thursday, October 6, 2011. You may not take another externship or clinic in the spring semester if selected.
